THAT DAY I woke up lost but I went to sleep that night with the love of God shed abroad in my heart. I woke up that morning condemned but I went to sleep that night converted. I woke up that morning with guilt but went to sleep that night with grace and glory. I woke up a sinner but went to sleep a saint. I woke up ruined but went to sleep that night redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. I woke up full of sin but went to sleep forgiven. I woke up that morning just a sinner but went to sleep that night justified. I woke up full of sin and self but went to sleep that night with a song of praise. I woke up that morning wrecked but went to sleep that night reconciled. I woke up lost but went to sleep in love with Jesus. I woke up broken but went to sleep born again. I woke up dead but went to sleep alive in Christ!
Why? Jesus saved my soul that day. It was shown to me from Scripture that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again for my justification. By the grace of God I repented of my sins and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. He saved me that day in 1986 and nothing has ever been the same!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
What a difference a day makes? What a difference Jesus makes!
